Innovative Facilities for our K-12 Community
The Project
The Valor North Expansion Project will include a new building on our existing campus just to the north of our existing building, a gymnasium with a stage and concessions, a blackbox theatre, a library, a new and larger playground, a courtyard, an open-air gym, an expanded faculty commons, an Upper School art room, an Upper School music room, a weight room, science labs and classrooms, seminar rooms, an intervention classroom, and general use Upper School classrooms. ART STUDIO In addition to a kiln for pottery making, students will have the opportunity to create in a variety of media including drawing, painting, and printmaking.
BLACKBOX THEATRE The theatre will feature elevated seating centered around a thrust stage for Shakespearean plays, choral performances, and more.
CLASSROOM Exciting class options include Ancient and Medieval World, Economics and Government, Latin, Greek, American Studies, and World Cultures.
COURTYARD The courtyard will be a peaceful space for students, teachers, and parents to gather.
FACULTY COMMONS The faculty commons will connect the Lower School and Upper School, allowing for one unified K-12 school and culture.
GYMNASIUM The Gym will feature six basketball goals, two volleyball courts, bleacher seating, and a recessed stage.
HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB The High School science lab will be outfitted with stations that include gas, water, and a full range of equipment.
INTERVENTION CLASSROOM The Intervention Classroom will be a space for small group tutoring and for Upper School scholars who require one-on-one attention.
LIBRARY The library will allow scholars to discover quality literature, cultivating a lifelong love of reading.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB Two science labs for middle school will spark wonder and discovery, providing hands-on learning of Physical and Life Science, as well as the Nature of Science.
MUSIC ROOM The music room will soon resound with beautiful chorus and song.
OPEN AIR GYM The open air gym will be open on two sides (north and west), protecting scholars from the elements.
PLAYGROUND Lower School students will enjoy fresh air and an innovative play structure.
SCIENCE CLASSROOM The High School Science Suite includes a science room for Life Sciences and Biology, as well as one for Chemistry and Physics.
SEMINAR ROOM The home of the Integrated Humanities Project, here scholars will participate in Socratic discussions of the Great Books.
WEIGHT ROOM Free weights, squat racks, and more will be used by both clubs and athletics, encouraging strength training and camaraderie.
